Memories Happen on Wednesday Too

Februrary brought lots of wonderful moments. While it brought a season of searching for me, finding and developing my role, God never left my side! He has connected our incredible team of Nicaraguans and North American's to work with. We are praying 2015 is filled with new stories that could only reflect His glory!

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The on who fears is not made perfect in love.  1 John 4:18

February began with birthday singing for Doris.
She doesn't always smile, but I love her daily greeting!

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

School started, and we continue to give out lots of notebooks and pencils.
Thank you so much for everyone who helped fill our school supplies over the last year!

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18

Left to Right: Odessa, Bree, Justine, Stephanie and Mickinzie
These five blessings were here for most of the month. They are 4th year medical students graduating in May. They brought so much refreshment to my soul! They served this community very well and through many avenues. Wishing them the best in their last couple of months, and praying God brings them back sometime soon!

Kevin and Elvin two of our teens helping one of the nursing home patients into the hospital.
It is a true honor to see such tenderness from two strong 15 year old boys.

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.  Psalm 143:8

Baseball season also started... GO BRUMAS!!
Fun friends at the game. Kelvin, Deyling and Justine.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."  John 14:6

These beautiful flowers were from the medical students.
They bringhtened my living room for over two weeks.

The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake
is confirmed by my sleeping heart.
Day and night I’ll stick with God;
I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.
Psalm 16:7-8

Maggie Lou and Zachary are two awesome kids!
It has been an absolute pleasure to see them grow and spend time with them.

Valentine's Day lunch at the Garcia's.
Caryn hired a mariachi band!

But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.  1 Thessalonians 5:8

Valentine's Day continued with snacks and laughter with the teens!
Nachos and fruit pizza for 30!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3

Area-wide youth service and game day.
We lined the edge of the field to cheer on our soccer team!

This one day Marwell and I were twins.

He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps sure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.  Psalm 40:2-3

I was deeper in the pit this month than I've been in a while. But after God pulled me out, He gave me this beautiful afternoon. I sat on the roof planning English class, singing, praying and just smiling. Sorry for the really awkward panoramic... But I wanted to give you some idea of looking over this lovely city with wide open blue skies!
